About our founder
Advisor, strategist and speaker.
Founder of We Are Brass Tacks.
Dee is a trusted advisor and culture change strategist to chief executives and senior leadership teams – working with FTSE 100/250 companies, SMEs and third sector organisations – who's passionate about improving the future of work for all.
Having built a successful career as a senior creative and communications professional in the private sector, Dee saw the need for a more human approach in the culture change space - one focused on positive solutions for difficult subjects. In 2015, she founded We Are Brass Tacks, an agency that delivers just that.
To date, Dee's communication and strategy work has positively influenced 60,000+ employees across 6 different industries and 17 countries. Regularly invited to speak at events and participate on discussion panels, Dee is considered a thought leader in subjects such as safety culture, employee engagement, empowering women founders and the future of work.
Dee is an active fellow of the Royal Society for Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), a certified member and mentor for the Institute of Internal Communications (IoIC) and a Board Trustee for the Scottish mental health charity Common Wheel.
